Expertise in Dyslexia, ADHD, Anxiety, and Mental Health; Orton-Gillingham Certified
With over 20 years of experience working in the special education field, Wendy is now a trained and certified Levy Education Advocacy team member. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University, a Master’s degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Boston University, and an M.S.Ed. in Moderate Special Needs from Simmons University.
Marci Hannon
Advocate
Expertise in Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, and Dyslexia – Orton-Gillingham Certified
Marci is a dedicated expert in neurodiverse and complex learners, with a strong focus on dyslexia and the Science of Reading. She is a passionate educator with experience teaching various subjects and guiding children of all ages and with various abilities.
Kathryn Lord
Advocate
Expertise in Middle School, Secondary, 18-22 for all disability areas.
Katie is an accomplished educator with 17 years of experience spanning all grade levels. She has served as a special educator, 5th-grade teacher, high school assistant principal, and, most recently, as a middle school principal. Katie brings deep expertise as a Local Education Authority (LEA) representative and is highly skilled in post-secondary transition planning. She holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College, as well as a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Providence College. Her broad background allows her to support students and families across the full K–12 spectrum with insight and care.
Stacey Souza
Advocate & Educational Development Liaison
Expertise in Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Dyslexia, and Down Syndrome.
With 20 years of diverse education experience, Stacey Souza proudly serves as a trained and certified advocate at Levy Educational Advocacy. She is also a Professor at Providence College in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy. She holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College, a graduate certification in Literacy from Providence College, and is a National Board-certified educator.
Kristen DeAlmo
Advocate & Home School Liaison
Expertise in Executive Functioning Coaching, Home School Liaison and Reading Interventions.
With 17 years of invaluable experience in education, Kristen DeAlmo proudly serves as a trained and certified advocate at LEA. She holds a dual Bachelor's degree in both Elementary and Special Education from Rhode Island College (RIC) and a graduate certification in English Language Learning from RIC, she is deeply committed to meeting the diverse needs of the students she teaches.
Tara Mallon
Advocate
Expertise in Elementary for all disability areas.
Tara has over 20 years of experience as a special educator, school administrator, and learning specialist. She holds a Master’s in special education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an advanced certificate in supervision and administration from Hunter College. Tara is a New York State-licensed special education teacher and school building and district leader, a New Jersey-licensed learning disabilities teacher consultant, and a PCI-certified parent coach.
Allison Mutzel

Expertise in Elementary + Middle School ages and Dyslexia – Orton-Gillingham Certified.
Allison Jensen is a dedicated literacy and dyslexia specialist with a strong background in school administration and special education. She began her career as a Special Education teacher in New York City, where she quickly recognized the inequities faced by her students compared to their general education peers. Driven by a deep commitment to educational equity, Allison worked tirelessly to develop stronger programs and more effective curricula for the students she served.
